Getting around in St Petersburg

Public transport
You can get to any part of the city by bus, tram, trolley bus or by metro. The system of public transport is open from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m. In order to ease the payment procedure, you can purchase a special transport card (proezdnoi), which allows unlimited use of public transport.

There are a great number of taxi stations in St Petersburg. Each of them offers their own rates. You can hail a cab on the street or make a phone call to a taxi service.
