A spacious ballroom appeared in the mansion in the 1840s, and was subsequently expanded and redecorated according to the project of architect Nikolai Grebenka. In the 1850s the piano manufacturer Lichtenthal held musical evenings here.

The "Noble Dance Assembly" (later renamed the "Noble Assembly") organized lectures, readings of literary works and concerts here. Many famous writers read their works in the hall, for example Fedor Dostoevsky, Ivan Turgenev, Dmitriy Pisarev, Mikhail Saltykov-Shchedrin; composer Franz Liszt performed here. The Russian Musical Society, founded by composer and pianist Anton Rubinstein, held concerts and meetings.

And now the Imperial Grand Hall invites you to hold your event in a luxurious atmosphere.
